Exchange Schedule for August and September

Here's a heads up on the plan for the Exchange for the next couple of months.

Unless something drastic happens, we should continue meeting in the worship space from 7:00 to 8:40 on Sunday nights.

August 7th - New Series - More Essential James
August 14th - No Exchange - Concert of Praise @ HCBC PF
August 21st - No Exchange - Get ready for school
August 28th - More Essential James

September 4th - More Essential James
September 11th - More Essential James
September 18th - New BIG series to take us through the fall semester
September 25th - BIG Fall Series

The Plan for the Exchange: Exchange Home Edition

Now that we're passed the busy month of January and the Superbowl, it's time to kick the Exchange back into gear.

We're NOT meeting at HCBC P-Ville It's not a good on-going solution.

Therefore, we're going to be host the Exchange out of peoples houses. What we want to do is take this unique opportunity to have a relational, interactive experience.

We want something which is less about a big show up front and more about us connecting as the high school group of our church.

ASK QUESTIONS:

If you have questions about a spiritual subject, this is a great time to ask them. We can possibly work them into a talk or answer them during the Q&A section.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

* Hang out time with wii and Rock Band and some snacks
* Acoustic set from the band
* Talk /which is more interactive
* Q&A w/Sean & Jennifer - Ask anything!


SERMON SERIES: Veritas "Truth"

* Why do we believe what we believe?
* Week 1 - Why Do We Believe Jesus Rose from the Dead?

Since we'll be answering questions about the faith, this may be a good series to invite skeptical friends to.

Student Worship Night - January 30th

To kick off the Spring semester, we're having a student ministry wide (6th-12th grade) worship night. This is a night of singing praise to our God and experiencing authentic worship.

This event will be hosted at HCBC Pflugerville, but it is being planned entirely by HCBC Hutto.

High School D-Groups!

This Fall we’re putting the D back into D-Groups!

Discipleship Groups are weekly small groups intended to help students become disciples of Christ. Each group is led by an adult with a simple mission (1) Get to know the student, (2) Get to know them spiritually, (3) help them take their next spiritual step. These groups call the students to commit to daily devotions, service, outreach, and Christian community. Their leader will help them grow in each of these areas.

If you want your student to grow spiritually, D-Groups are the place where growth happens.

Groups start meeting the week of October 3rd and run through the week of December 12th. Once the semester begins, groups are closed. Therefore, the next couple of weeks are your chance to get your student plugged into a D-Group.

COST: $10 per semester (to purchase their curriculum)
